I'm actually liking the other side. Lilly hasn't been too good.

Lilly started 0-3 with an ERA of 9.16. Since he has gone 6-2, 3.88.
Litsch has been solid on the season, 7-2, 3.42, but has been hit a lot recently. 20 hits last 11 and 1/3rd. Both pitchers have similar whips, Lilly 1.35, Litsch 1.29. Lilly has received an average of 6.6 runs in support since May 3rd, while Litsch has gotten 4.6 on average over the same span. Vernon Wells is questionable after leaving Saturday after feeling discomfort in his hand, the same one he spent time on the DL over with wrist injury. This will be Lilly's first meeting against Toronto since leaving them as a free agent after 2006.

All that being said, my baseball plays haven't been great lately, so fading this wouldn't be the worst of ideas.

I've had the Cubs the first two games of the series and I'll probably take them again today. The Jays can't hit lefties at all this season. And Dashwood, as you point out, Litsch has been hit lately while Lilly looks like he's back in good form. Seems like good value if the Cubs are dogs.

I like the Jays here, but I'm laying off. I agree the Cubs are the best team in baseball, but the Jays at home are a better team than the Cubs are on the road. Litsch at home with a line this short has good value. He very well could be the top #5 pitcher in baseball this season, and has out-performed Lilly this year.
The only reason I'm not playing this one is the Jays just always seem to find ways to lose games they should win. They should be fighting for the AL Pennant instead of hovering around .500.

Jays are 18-16 at home while Cubs are 15-17 on the road. Litsch is a solid #5, and has better overall numbers. But if he performs anything like his last 2 starts, it may be a short outing, as he is not overpowering and relies on his control. Lilly has been solid since first 3 starts, and receives a lot of run support. On a bit of a side note, Lilly and Jays manager John Gibbons did not see eye to eye in the 2006 campaign, and that came to a head when Gibby went out to pull Lilly in one of his outings. From that point, there was no way Lilly would re-sign with Toronto. I would have to think that Lilly would love to pay the Jays back, in such a manner as Reed Johnson did yesterday.

Yeah. But Lilly could also get hit really hard, since the Jays team knows his pitching so well. I've decided to stay away from this one. It could go either way.

Love the Cubs DC, I got the Cubs at +106. Toronto to struggle against a left-hander.
Also
Detroit -130
Florida +143
Detroits the hottest team in baseball, and have a good chance to sweep the Dodgers who haven't really hit the ball, except for the minor leaguer they got s runs off of.
Nolasco is too good to let the Marlins get swept. Watch Edwin Jackson get a lot of strike 2 counts, and then let up some base hits.
Cubs +106
Det -130
Fla +143

Good point fifawcs. Really this game could go either way. My money is on the Cubs, but like I said, fading me is not a bad idea right now.

If you take the Jays, Cubs are a good play. I saw in RJT's thread that you have also been bad recently. Just kidding, either team can win this. GO CUBBIES.

I think Cubs/Jays UNDER 8.5 would be a better proposition here. There'll be no run here until say the 5th inning. Then you'll have 3 or 4 more runs, and that's all.

I'm a Jays fan, but money helps ease the pain of another crappy season.
If the Rangers hang on against the mets my Rangers/Cubs parlay wins and it's a very good day for me.
Too bad the Rangers relievers can't throw strikes.. going to be a tough 9th inning to get through..

To everybody that grabbed the Tigers, Cubs, and the Marlins, after reading my post- you're welcome. Now its time to go and get the Lakers and the under.
