#4972Yeah, the high water mark is here...I am out. I bet small tonight and thus lost very little compared to many. With the sportsbook raids earlier today coupled with GG having horrible run last couple days---I am cashing out with nice profit. Enjoy boys.Comment -

#4976guys, I know lots of people lost money, but please, understand this thread does not have 143 pages for shitts and giggles, especially newcomers. Do not criticize someone for losing. It was that kinda night. Play small units is my suggestion if you cannot stomach these losses. I am playing $10/unit still anxious/nervous each game, but surely takes some sting out on night like this. This night couldve easily swung to a huuuge +++, yes it didnt, but I highly doubt 2-3 bad days means its the end here. Stick around I think u will enjoy rewards, just dont blow all on a day or two. take it from me took me an infinite amount of losses to realize it is a grind. We are lucky enough to have a poster up 400 units in bases, let one bad night be...Comment -

lol how is he chasing? he is up overall.
He took some bad beats tonight, if the bullpens held like they should have and if OKC closed it out like the should have, would have won pretty big tonight.
Just bad luck at the end of some good picks.Comment -

#4996ROFL to all the quitters! Timing is everything. I started April 2nd following every game GG and another hockey thread and here are my results: NBA -16.00 MLB +165.33 NHL +33.71 Total: +183.04 and $448.40 playing $2.50 per unit...the two months prior GG was up probably double than those figures. The quitters remind me of the investors who buy high and sell low. This is the time to stick with it and grind it out till the end of the year. If you lose money? So what...you shouldn't be gambling with money you cannot afford to lose. However, if you're up probably better than any money you would try to make on your own gambling. Believe you me, GG is probably at the bar throwing chairs right now. He wants us to make money, and I would bet he comes on this thread with an apology and frustration, which he doesn't have to do either. He does a good service for us bottom line. If you are using this thread and cannot admit you've lost money on your own, then you are full of it. It's just so much easier to blame someone else instead of yourself, right? Give GG some respect! Manage your money and stick with the system, and you'll come out ahead in the long run.

#4997I don't ride GG, but I have followed his plays for a long time now and the guy is MONEY......I'm doing pretty decent myself, but I wish I had tailed him on every pick since joining SBR, as I would be swimming in a pool of money by now. Just keep riding it out, and use money management.....you'll be alrightComment -

#5002It's risk vs reward. It's up to you to ask yourself if it's worth the risk to make the amount of plays for the number of units that GG plays. If you play a larger number of games you are risking exposing yourself to potential losses. GG plays a lot of plays so his risk is high but the potential reward is high as well. On the reverse SJ plays few plays so his risk is low, but he still has a high reward because he wins at a high rate, although he bets $1k a game or something so if you play under $500 it's probably going to be less profitable to follow him because most aren't going to obtain their desired profit playing 3-5x/week.
So if you're second guessing or blaming you need to rethink how you want to play and what your approach is because you're costing yourself money by not having a plan or a goal. I know because I've made a lot of these errors. If you can't handle the risk involved then you probably aren't cut out. When following someone you have to not only look at their record, but you need to take into consideration their losses and how they lose.
Today there were some beats that you can't cap. OKC blowing a 15 pt lead in final 4...you can't cap. They controlled the game from the tip and were the right play...DAL backers are sitting pretty acting like they made a great call, but they got a lucky break. While OKC backers got a bad beat. To put it another way, if I'm playing BJ and hit on 16 vs a 10 and get a 5, I'm happy because my risk paid off, if I get a 10 and lose I'm not happy but I know I made the right play and except it. If I do the same vs a 6 and get a 5 or 10, who cares, it was a bad bet anyways because I'm unnecessarily exposed to a potential loss and won't win long-term anyways playing like that. A lot of people fall in that category and GG or SJ isn't one of them. That's why you follow them.
Moral of the story except the good with the bad if you can't except it then you probably made a bad bet anyways and deserved to lose.Comment -
