So you bet the teams in the RED or the BLACK or those colors don't matter and you only bet the Home team? Are the red teams just the winners?

What were the bets for today? all the teams that didn't win the first game?

That whole thing just looks confusing.

LOL. Ngates, Does he do this as a chase system? COL and CHC won their 2nd games on Saturday while Oakland lost. Oakland won their game on Sunday, but I would of hated to lay -165 to cover the losses from OAK's previous 2 games (-138 on FRI, -174 on Sat, and laying -165 on Sun) Do you know if its to just cover the losses or bet to always be up 1 unit (which is 1K for him)? If thats the case he would of been down around $3900 after gm2, and have to bet to win $4900 at -165? Even though it won, I would hope not. Hit a bad streak and one could be barreled in pretty quick.

He said its not a chase system, but it sure seemed like it was from his explanation.

I haven't understood anything that he has said about his system.

I also don't understand how you can have a 25k bankroll and bet about half of it on the first day of the season.

LVBOUND, please explain how you do this. If you bet the games that lost in game 1, how long do you continue to bet them? All the way through that homestand only? And what are the betting increments, just to get the losses back or to always be ahead 1 unit? Thanks in advance.

Ok guys, let me explain one thing I mis spoke trying to explain my system, it is actually very easy.

I pick 8 TEAMS
4 Good Teams
4 Bad Teams

I bet the Good Teams at Home
I bet against the Bad Teams when they are on the ROAD

SO in theory every team I bet is a Home Team.

The teams in red on the sheet are my 8 TEAMS. These teams change as the season goes on.

Ok Week 1B is in the Books and I was a 2120 Dollar Loser.

The above image shows 1920 of the loses.

The other 200 in losses are shown on the Week 1B recap.

What this is for is to make sure even during a bad week money is taken out for

Expenses (Bills, Food, Gas... etc)
Play Money (This is a category that is need, to make sure you do not kill your bankroll). Alot of people I have spoke to hate this, but I know how I am and I know that if I got 25K in a safe and March Madness or NHL Playoffs or NFL is going on I will want to have fun. So I give myself money to do that.

So 100 went to expenses and 100 to Play Money.

Ok now it is week 2A (A parts of weeks are the sets of series during the beginning of the week.

If you look at my Week 2A spreadsheet you will see that I have 4 series. 3 Start on Monday and 1 on Tuesday. Also note the Overnight line (Which is the line I will prefer to take, since I am betting Favs is unavailable for the Cub game. I will have to add this in the morning.

I will be straight up in this thread all year. I will only be posting Start and End of series screenshots, because the flow of what games I play is known.

#1 I play a team until it wins. The exceptions are stop loss and win cap.

The stop loss last year was 5K, but might move it up to 5.5 or so because the increase in starting bankroll.

The win cap is 3k and it will stay at that.

The Win Cap for example is

Like Week 2A

I got 3 games on Monday and 1 on Tuesday

If I go 3-0 and make 3600, that is over 3k so I do not play Tuesdays game and wait to week 2B.

This is a straight bet betting system, the only additional money bet, is a play money and expense money fund, that is calculated in a formula on my sheet, you do not need to use that to make a profit using this system.

We do not chase our losses. We play the game again to win the same amount as before. Like I stated in a previous thread we only stop for Stop Losses (5.5K) and Win Stop (3K).

Last season I had a very bad run also, but ended up winning 84K, so I am not to worried about a 2100 loss LOL. Talk to me when you loose 9K..

Thanks LVB. As far as changing the "8" teams, how and when do you reevaluate those teams and also how do you go about choosing new teams?

I try to go at least a month. However that never works.

I try to take about 12 teams.

Then I check their schedules over the next 3 weeks.

If I got a week AL team and its next four opponents are NYY,BOS,TEX,DET I would take that team before a slighlty worse team whose next 4 are KC,CLE,SEA,LAA

I also look at injuries and streaks.

Last season I stayed on Bal as a bad team to long and they cost me and I stayed on stl as a good team to much.

I reevaluate after each half week, but I normally do not make right away.

I kinda was hoping to have a more positive response here and turn this into a thread with good ideas of when and what team to move to. This is always the hardest part.t

Now that you finally explained more about your system, it's at least somewhat understandable.

So it's not a chase, it's just a straight bet to win 1K every single game of the series, either til you're up 5K or down 3K on the week (or you middle out like last week @ 2K)

Probably would of helped if you were a little clearer on how you explained it, I asked if it was a chase about 3 times, and everytime you said no, but never gave a response.

For anyone who cared, The line for the Cub game which was left blank, since their was no overnight line was -155. Cubs won so that series is over.

Let me get this straight.

Cubs won - so you won't be betting on them the rest of the week?

So you bet 1550 to win 1000 on them today.

If they lost today you would bet on them tomorrow for say 1600 to win 1000? that's if the line was -160

And if they won tomorrow, would you bet them wednesday?

I was only betting the Cubs, because they were the opponent of ARI which is one of my bad teams.

Week 2B starts Thurs and Fri and ARI will not be played because they are on a home stand.

The next time I will bet against the D Backs will be 4-19-11 against the Reds.

Only 3 series for this weekend Week 2B

BOS at home vs NYY
ATL at home vs PHI
and BET Against KC at DET

Although it looks like a scary weekend, we should get some real small lines for BOS and ATL, so a game #1 loss is a less of a deal.

Let's get hypothetical for a minute.

Lets say the Cubs series started today and went thru Wednesday.

The Cubs win game 1....So you're up 1K and not betting them tuesday or wednesday.

The Cubs lose game 1....You bet 1550 to win 1K.
Cubs play on Tuesday....You bet 1550 to win 1K (since we'll just say the line is -155 again)

If they win do you bet them on Wednesday? If YES, what is the bet(using the -155 line again)

If they lose do you bet them on Wednesay? If YES, what is the bet(using the -155 line again)

I bet until

A) it wins
B) I hit a stop loss (This means if losing the game to be bet will make that series a 5.5K loser I do not bet it) For example if I am down -2800 after two games and the game #3 is -320 I do not bet the game and take my -2800 loss
C) I don't bet it because my profit for that half a week is greater than 3k
