Not so sure about MIN. I know DET is the quote on quote the square side, but I am expecting a very big performance from Verlander today and the way the line has dipped that's really the only way I can play it.

I'm a little surprised by the line movement in this one, with Verlander being a prominent pitcher on a public fave like Detroit. I certainly wouldn't have played Minny at the current price. I do, however, think Verlander's problems are real - he's not throwing strikes consistently, not going deep in games, etc. It may be a while before Verlander figures it out, although I agree with you that he's too good not to get it turned around eventually. In the interim, he's still being priced as an ace (at least in regard to the opening line), which he's clearly not at the moment. Conversely, I feel Baker may be on the verge of a breakout season.
