Hello from Fenway Park, where the Red Sox are a Boston sports afterthought for the first time in a long while. The Bruins won a stirring Game 6 last night, the Celtics play Game 1 of their series tonight and the Boston Marathon is tomorrow.
Here at Fenway, Dustin Pedroia gets his first day off this season, with Jed Lowrie starting at second. Lowrie has now played short, third and second in the span of a week. Manager Terry Francona said he'd like to get Manny Ramirez a day off tomorrow morning, but the availability of Coco Crisp (hamstring) will make or break those plans.
Bartolo Colon played catch again today and is scheduled to start his official throwing program Tuesday.
