    Houston vs Philly
Jose Valverde blew a 3-0 9th inning lead and what should have been a win for starter Shawn Chacon. Jose gave up 2 home runs and a double as the home team came back for a win they wont soon forget. The Phills bats looked a bit sluggish and the lack of their table setters, Rollins and Victorino, really seemed to keep this team from getting going. The Phills used their speed a lot last year to create offense, but thats hard to do without the two guys at the top. Kyle Kendrick takes the hill as a small favorite over a struggling RoyOoswalt and the total sits at 9.5.

Roy Oswalt has been lit up this season as he has been giving up a lot of long balls which is uncharacteristic of the pitcher we've seen over the last couple years. Oswalt is allowing almost 2 hits per inning despite the fact that over 50% of the batted balls against him are grounders:

That chart shows that his current ratios aren't all that different from his final numbers in 06, but the results are obviously not the same. Roy claims to know what the problem is and he says that he had a good bullpen session on Sunday. The Phills lineup will once again be without Rollins and Victorino, but Utley, Howard, Burrell, and Werth provide more than enough reason to think Oswalt will have to be on top of his game to get a win tonight.

Kyle Kendrick has been getting lit up since the spring where his era ended up over nine. Kendrick is allowing a lot of hard hit balls which indicates that his BABIP is poor due to being hit hard more so than just bad luck. On the season lefties are batting over .370 off Kendrick and righties about .330.

Without Rollins to get the offense moving, I have to like the Stros tonight. Oswalt claims to be healthy and im going to trust him.

Last time I trusted Oswalt (against the Fish) he burned me pretty bad.
Good luck to you guys, I hope you get better results than I did.

At first I was thinking unders here but I backed off it after reading this because the story above is the truth & the odds would not be in my favor.

much worse k/bb ratio at home last season than on the road, gave up more hrs per 9, had a slightly better era but a worse WHIP. not much to go on.

I go on his wins to loss ratio, when kendrick pitches at home the Phills ussaully win, enough said.

Houstons closer has been throwing meatballs over the plate all season. Unless the Astros have a 3-4 run lead (which most likeley they won't since they can't score runs) going into the 9th I like the Phils chances for this price.

enough said? well, not really anything said. i could care less what someones win loss record was in their rookie year at home. a more meaningless statistic ive never heard.

                                    I'm on Philly!
Oswald is not impressive so far 0-3 with 9.0 ERA!?

Listen guys i have a question on bases IH betting. I had small bet on Pitt at La Monday game, if you remember score was 2-2 after 5th and line was:
                                    Pitt +0.0 1H +160 (Matchbook)
So my wager was graded as PUSH is it right, because there in no point of all these + & - if they will grade it as ML?
