ha exactly, that's when the game will end 2-0, i never get those ties that force it go over, but i always act like its going to happen

Yeah, I would think it would be higher, but if you look at Scherzer's as of late he has been incredible. Only 6 ERs allowed over his last 6 starts (this includes @NYY, @TOR, @BOS, and TOR). Not too shabby against pretty solid offenses. Not to mention the Twins offense has been awful lately. I don't know, it looks like a no play for me.

scherzer and liriano have been good recently.

twins can't hit atm and tigers usually can't hit on the road.

each pitcher being owned by the other team is crucial though. dunno what to make of it. will be interesting to see where the line moves.

You're only mentioning one stat. A guy like Scherzer is a completely different pitcher these days. He's given up more than 3 earned runs just 1 time in his last 15 starts, and that start he gave up 4. Back when he was getting hit around by Minny early in the year he was also getting hit around by boston, cleveland, and kansas city at the same time. He hasn't seen kc since but he had no problem with boston or cleveland when he saw them both again recently. It's a tale of two pitchers here.

Liriano has ugly numbers too, 7 runs in 1.2 innings will do that, but he also went 8 shutout innings and struck out 10 detroit tigers in April and went 2 for 2 in quality starts vs them last year. He's more than capable of shutting this team down. He's gone 6-0 with a 2.47 era since the break.

It wouldn't be surprising to me if both of these guys pitched gems tomorrow. I personally see nothing wrong with the total.
