pitchers suffer from "dead arm" sometimes. i was a pitcher i know. there's nothing you can do but wait it out. shouldnt be but a few starts. he'll be back at it soon. but hell give him some run support. thats whats happening to the my braves Huddy is killin it but his last start they give him one run. thats all he needed cause hes on fire but you have to take run support into consideration

he could be getting 8 runs a game, but he's just not the same pitcher that he has been.

Yeah, and that doesn't even take into consideration pre game warmups and 8 pitches between innings warming up and also side sessions.. I realize the pitches I am talking about don't have near the stress because nobody is batting at those time, but he is still throwing.

that makes sense. he hasn't been the same lock-on easy-win bet pitcher he has been in recent years. a rest would be good for him. it sure wont help if the giants make the playoffs because you know they'll run him into the ground to win.

I think the Giants' management might be using Timmay more than they thought due to being in the race to win the West

I understand the "play to win now" mentality. But this guy is in his mid 20's and will break down before he gets to 30. Its a shame

Correct- that was exactly what the sf broadcasters were talking about after yesterdays game.

It's going to be tough for his body to hold up to the tough schedule stud pitchers are used to. They have to limit his pitches.

The truth is he is trying a whole bunch of things to correct his throw all at once, he needs to focus on doing things one step at a time.

He went back to his old throw yesterday but tried to do too much.

This could be an interesting stat when the race with the Padres comes down to the end.
