I recalled Wainwright said Carpenter was his idol. Then i checked their stats and apparently both these pitchers are so similar. Carpenter is 6'6 and Wainwright is 6'7. I checked their win/losses the last few years and amazingly both their records and ERA are so identical.

What do you mean by Ace? Carp can be consider the defacto ace due to his longer career, But wainwright is just entering his prime and probably is the better pitcher now and will be for the next 5-7 years

They will probably make it, and waino will pitch game 1 if they can hold him back until then. Chances are it will come down to the last week, though. Might not have a choice who pitches game 1.
