    Pounding the Mets today
    Big play on the mets for me today. I looked at this line carefully and it makes no sense that Santana is only +117 after the fact that he has lost 2 games in a row and the fact that he got absolutely whacked last time in philly. Hamels is 4-6 versus the Mets in his career and is only 3-5 in night games this year with a 3.78 ERA meaning he doesnt get the run support needed. I expect Santana to bounce back today and pitch a good game. Also looked at some stats with home plate ump Tim Welke and i get the feeling he will be giving some calls to the mets pitcher tonight. Anyways im taking the Mets for a dime.

              Mets have no offense when Santana pitches. Johan will give up 2 runs in the first inning and then the Mets will lose 2-1.

                  Not sure about this one, team momentum with the Phillies. Hamels is a good pitcher at home and the Mets just stink. I'm on Philly, but if I don't win you do so GL

                              good luck and like the logic. But Met offense has been anemic the last two weeks, they dont play well away from home, and Santana has had two bad starts. Will play Mets for very small amount.

                                      As long as Santana gets off to a good start they should win. He needs to avoid giving up those early runs in games thats what has killed him. Hope to see a CG today and no Rodriguez to blow the save! GL I played Mets as well

                                              Best of luck with your play, LB. I think you're reading a bit too much into the line in this one. I think the Mets are a play, but when factoring in team momentum, home field, and the pitching matchups the game is effectively a coin flip just like yesterday.

                                                                      It's nice getting a stud like Santana at + money. Too bad he wont win tonight. The Phils havent lost yet in August and are on an absolute tear.
                                                                      good luck, tho. I realize the streak cant last forever, but Im on the Phils until they lose, then Ill re-evaluate.

                                                                              Santana gave up 5er to cards in 1st and 3er to braves in last two starts. I am very wary of him. Bust BOL hope it's a winner.

                                                                                  Despite Bay and Howard both being out, it's tough not to take the over in this one. Mets over in 5 of last 7 games, Phils over in 6 of last 7 games. Hamels loves pitching batting practice to the Mets who have a collective .300+ BA against him, while we all know Santana got creamed last time against the Phils. If the bats stay reasonably hot, gotta figure more than 7 runs get put on the scoreboard.

                                                                                                          I think this is the right play. Phillies have won 12 straight at home and are barely favored? Public is pounding the phillies all day and line hasn't moved that much...Santana is due for a rebound start. I'm on the mets here for my biggest play of the day. All streaks must come to an end.
