15M with 2M buyout nexy year. Probably still owed around 5M this year, is it worth paying that for a 34 year old?

This guy is having a bad year but he is a real hitter. This guy will rake with all that protection in the Yankees lineup. Brilliant trade.
Add another bat and three arms now yanks.

Why get Berkman if they can get Dunn? I keep hearing that he's the one they want.

                Probably doesnt matter, lol.

Still, it's gonna be a very good lineup and I'll feel even better about my Yankee future.

Because they wouldn't have to give anyone to get Dunn probably.

Berkman is better than Dunn.....I can see Dunn fall straight on his fat ass in NY.....Berkman is the real deal....this guy will handle the bright lights.

berkman can't play the OF anymore well and he's not playing 1st base. Don't they have enough DH's already??? That makes him Part time Dh and bat off the bench. You weaken yourself with him IMO. I will take that.

You're nuts.....they can get that bum Cervelli out of the lineup now and have Posada catch more games instead of playing DH. Yanks lineup just got a serious bump if this goes through.

Anything that can gets Cervelli out of the regular rotation can't be a bad thing.

Exactly....Cervelli is a joke.....people dont realize that in the AL when you have a guy in your lineup who is incapable of extra base hits....it hurts your club...even if you have a decent average. Cervelli cant buy an extra base hit....he's a minor league stiff.

there is a reason Cervelli catches so many games. It is b/c Posada isn't a good catcher anymore and his body can't handle it. If he was still a great catcher, Cervelli wouldn't be in there in the 1st place

Lol- Lance can still play the outfield. He isn't as bad an athlete as you guys think. He use to play CF here in Houston. I've followed him his whole career. Sad day here in Houston but definitely a great pick up for the Yanks and a guy who has performed in the playoffs.

What happened tonight is why they need more bats. Having Curtis or Pena in the lineup is like playing 9 on 8.

                                                    2-23 .105 1 RBI - still psyched?

Posada used to DH when Cervelli caught. Now Berkman steals AB's from Posada. Now you have 2 holes in the line up. Cervelli is still going to catch Burnett and Vazquez every time.
