    mets/d'backs
why is everyone on the mets? pelfrey has been garbage lately, and the d'backs have won 7 of the last 8 meetings - including the last matchup with pelfrey where zona lit him up.

I'm taking the positive line on Zona. I'm just curious what angle it is that everyone else is eeing here with this game.

It seems like zona has the mets' number, and the mets are unable to win games lately with a cold pitcher on the mound. I just dont see any other way.

Kennedy pitched a gem last time against Pelf. Pelf got shelled. Mets bats cold. Besides being at home, why are they -145? I really think Pelfrey gets back to decent form at home and the Mets take this. Goodluck on whatever u decide J.

gotcha paco. The only thing I can say to that is that you are correct that kennedy pitched a gem last time and pelfrey stunk up the joint. The only problem i see is that pelfrey has been stinking up the joint in many games lately. His lst 3 games combine a 10.45 ERA. This shows that he is having some sort of trouble, maybe mechanics, and the fact that he has lost all last 3 games would also add to those mechanical problems a possible confidence problem. Whereas Kennedy has pitched pretty solid outings in his recent games. Now I understand that the D'backs a re a bad squad, but they seem to have played very well historically vs the mets. I really dont see why people love betting the juice on a cold as shitt team like new york.

of course it looks like kennedy is having his own difficulties in the 1st too. shitt. I still think that pelfrey's confidence is shot which will result in a loss in the end.

yes he did bail him out. the only thing in my mind is that pelfrey was giving up singles that kept scoring, the mets scored only because of a homer. so hopefully for me, kennedy continues to keep the hits down. they can't all be homers.

good luck tonight bro, of course i'd rather win.

i hope he is tonight! of course my other bet on oswalt isnt looking too good. I guess we'll call that, "the curse of getting traded". Cliff Lee also fell to this curse. I believe Haren also. It seems likewhen a pitcher gets traded this year, his first game for the new team is a shit show
