What will the total be at Wrigley Friday afternoon?
Blanton pitching, high of 92, winds out of the W/SW at 12....

It might be 13-14 or some wacky shit like that, but I'd still take the over.
Blanton 2-3, 6.80 ERA during the day.
Lilly 0-3, 6.08 ERA during the day.
Folks, this might be the highest total we'll see all year.

when the cubs' bats are weak they're really weak. but they've been on lately. byrd and lee and productive. phils went through a huge scoring drought last month and for a while were in a slump of scoring very low or nothing- consistently.

if the total is over 10, which it will be if the wind is blowing out, you are pissing money away taking the under in those spots.....

My usual formula for these conditions would say Philly wins and Over, but Vegas is gonna start with a big win as usual. Public money at least so far is on Philly.
Cubs & Over.

Winds are to be out to center under 10 mostly with higher gusts. Increasing slightly as the game progresses. Flags over the stadium are still blowing softly, but it's early...

Still, it's going to be hot and these pitchers have both struggled mightily during the day.

Absolutely agree with that. Still I'm waiting to see the flags whipping right before game time, I think they will be.

I see nothing to suggest any wind shift. SW winds today straight through Sunday. There are no fronts passing that would cause this dramatic shift.

ive totally flipped on my opinion of this game from last night and played the under...ill probably regret it but there some things that i cant ignore going on here....every easy Wrigley over has opened higher or rose up fast, this one is doing no such thing even though it is getting pounded, honestly i expected this to be higher than 10 so when i saw 10 i got nervous...obvious books are taking a stance here as they are stuck on 10, think i will side with them for this one........gl everyone
