Seen so many threads with "they r do!" as an excuse to bet NL. The AL has better hitters and better pitchers and Girardi was all ready set on winning before George passed away today, and I think that will have at least the Yankee participants giving extra. -130 is an absolute gift
If u r betting NL tonight just save time and flush ur cash

#5Its easy to cap the AL isn't 13-0-1 in the last 14 by accident. They r the better league w/ better players and for the players from realistic contenders the game means something now and the AL is starting a line up where all but Ichiro r expecting to make play offs. NL has 2 Brewers a Marlin and more players in general where the game is an event and not at all meaningfulComment -

#7I agree with the AL winning but I don't think players being in the playoff race has anything to do with it. No players from either team are going to want to look like assholes out there tonight and everybody will be playing their best.Comment -

#11when is baseball gonna squash this ignorant rule? i guess not until everyone realizes that whether or not home field for the WS is on the line it is still just a fukkin exhibition game for the fans....all that said go NL im sick of AL getting home field for the WS based off a meaningless game, either way im not betting it (besides a few points i wagered with someone for the hell of it)......gl everyone that is betting to much with a illusion of a edge....Comment -

#12I would like to see how those elite NL guys do a season pitching in the AL. Only guy that could cut it is Halladay. Ubaldo and Timmy got lit up by a Red Sox team with like 3 starters on itComment -

#13Whats one game mean? CC and John Lester have been beaten up by the Orioles and Indians. Ubaldo (this year) would compete against either league. As would Josh Johnson and Adam Wainwright.Comment -

banker this rule is good and makes this the only competitive all star game in sports. i love the mlb all star game more than any one of the others. i mean it has always been fairly competitive game anyways. as for an illsuion of an edge its hard to argue the AL dominance over the last 15 years. its kind of like when the NFC used to own the AFC. AFC fans always had hope but then reality settled in.Comment -

the rule sucks and does nothing to change the competitiveness of the game... mlb all-star game is also my fav with nba being a close second.... far as a edge, yes AL has won 30 in a row (or whatever), but all that did was balance the series out and i cannot bet something based off the previous years when i dont feel the outcome of tonight has anything to do with what happened last year (which was a game NL could/should have won) ..cant speak on the pro bowl as ive never watched more than a few minutes of one...only all star/exhibition you will probably ever catch me betting my hard earned gambling money on is the over in the NBA rookie and all star game........ gl whatever you play LBComment -

#35Fck the stats, this is a new decade and I don't know how many players played in the last games.
The way this year is going in baseball, anything can happen.
I did the coin flip, NL +RL and the over to win 1 unit each.Comment
