He's in a rut..... He doesn't have a ton of Professional experience. He played AA last year and only got moved to AAA because Chris Davis sucks much more.

Nobody has any idea how good he will be. How do you people jump to conclusions on such a small sample size. A couple of years ago Phil Hughes had a ton of hype and then sucked it up as a starter in the majors. Now he's an All Star. Not all great players were awesome right off the bat.

I've been watching Smoak at AAA and AA for the past 2 season, and he's the real deal. He need some more seasoning, and I think he'll be an All-Star hitter.

The Rangers saw enough of him to send him packing 3 months into the season. The first thing he could do to improve his game is stay on the left side of the plate. He stinks as a hitter on the right side. He is and will be an average player.

Anyone who choked with your money on the line is the worst player in baseball at any level, except the variations of tee ball.

Chris Davis wasn't any worse than smoak so it'll be a matter of time before they send him down

Sorry fellas this thread is way off. The worst player in baseball is the cubs, Cliff Tracy. The stiffest of the stiff. He played Third base for two weeks. During that time he recorded no hits, zero walks, and two errors. This guy was a complete nightmare, and a lock to kill any rally the Scrubs would try to make late.

Mariners used to be a much better run team. Now everything they do is a head scratcher

chad tracy is actually decent in his career. Smoak needs to work on keeping his AVG above .200

Smoak has an OBP better than 30% at least, which is better than some guys can say.

So while he has played pretty poorly in his short major league career, it wouldn't be hard to find a bunch of guys worse, and without the same upside.
