bottom 9th, score tied. home team has 1 out, runner on 1st and 2nd. the hitter hits a single, the runner on 2nd, rounds thrid and tries to make it home. the runner on 1st also try to run home. defense throw it home, the catcher got the ball before the 2nd base runner reaches the home plate. then this happens. since the runner on 1st was a fast runner, and the runner on 2nd base was a slow runner, so the two runners are pretty close to each other...the 2nd base runner bump the catcher( out...2 outs now), the catcher still has the ball but he is knocked a bit away from the home plate...during that brief moment the 1st base runner reaches the home plate. does this situation qualifies as a win for the home team?

Aside from the fact that the runner on 1st should never allow this to happen, the answer to your question would be that the 2nd runner who left from first base would be considered safe as long as he never passed the runner in front of him. The ball would be considered live and in play as long as the umpire did not call time, and having a collision at home plate with a runner immediately behind him would not be a reason for time to be called. The final result would be the run scoring and the home team winning.

Real talk. Home team wins, game over. Just as long as the runner from first never passed the runner from 2nd. Most of the time however, the runner from first would just stop at 3rd.
