I have read some posts that predicted 25-30 wins since leaving the AL East. Too early to call. He was bought in for the playoff run.

i'd say around B+/A-, remember only 27 runs scored by the phils in his last 10 starts.

This Roy Freakin Halladay we are talking about here. Try to shut them down if the phillies are not scoring. you can't lose if it is 0-0.

3rd in WAR for pithers
4th In ERA
3rd in wins
8th in WHIP
1st in BB/9
8th in SO
1st in CG
1st in SHO
1st in IP
1st in SO/BB
3rd in ERA+

He's just been unlucky; if you look at his peripherals, he's still top notch.

Most people on SBR have no idea what peripherals even means, including the idiot who started the thread.

I wonder if Phillies are starting to think that maybe Cliff Lee would have been the pitcher to keep after all. Who has been more dominant lately? Take away the perfect game (I know you can't) and Halladay is only 8-7. He is giving up a lot of hits lately. 13 to the Reds today. Before the year is out they may wish they had kept Lee. What if the Mets get Lee before the deadline and win the east! Who is a proven money postseason pitcher. Just food for thought.

I sadi it last year and I will say it now. The Phillies made a huge mistake by letting Cliff Lee go. Picking up Halladay was a great idea, but not if you had to lose Cliff Lee. No disrespect to Roy Halladay. He is an ace. Just not on his game like Cliff Lee is.

He is going through a bad stretch right now, but I'm sure he'll be back to his A game soon!

I don't know how anyone could justify keeping Lee over Halladay. Honestly, I can't possibly fathom why. It makes no baseball sense.

He's got good #'s but the money he's being paid, I would expect better #'s. Roy is very competitive, if you asked him personally, I bet he would tell you that he could have been a little better so far.

I bet you he would also say he made mistakes in the perfect game, too. Dude's a machine.
