Wish I had a ton of points, I'd give out a nice line for the Pirates. No way he loses this game. Saw him pitch here in Syracuse, regardless of the competition, the man is a beast.

I don't care how many people saw this kid pitch. That was the minor leagues. Lincecum had a 0.36 ERA in AAA before being called up, got whacked by the phillies and other teams and was only able to dominate after developing a change up. In the big leagues, it doesn't matter how good your fastball is.

That said, I would have to be crazy to take the Pirates. Instead I will take the over for the following reasons:

1. He won't stay in the game long as they are easing him in
2. Pirates will have extra incentive to humble this kid
3. Strasburg will be over throwing as expectations are high
4. Both bullpens are honorably pathetic

My local opened the Nats at -185 and I took it for a unit. The Pirates are now at +192. I may look to arb off my Nats position if it goes to +195 or more.

I think some value on Nats but laying off, Pirates +200 may look great but Pitt is lucky to win a third of their road games adn this game is much tougher than average.

Question is, with the nats overcome the 2-3 run the pirates will probably get with him up on the mound? Even the 5 inning bet is way too risky... ****ing crap shoot if you ask me.

I don't know a rookie pitcher vs a professional lineup is a tough job for anybody .. i think he'll do ok for the early innings but as it goes on he'll gas out i think. Just my opinion
