can someone explain to me why the met/padres game total is 6.5? last night it was the same and the game went way over obviously but that has nothing to do with my complete and utter bafflement on this one tonight. teams scoring runs past few games at 10 runs combined per (unlike bucs and cubs at less than 5) and the pitchers last time i checked weren't named jimenez or halladay. i know the juice leans over at -120 but am i missing something here like reality? petco is an under park but why isn't this line at least 7?

Vegas must know that the Mets are going to collectively fall down some stairs and break their arms. This is odd.. Vegas being stubborn? Or are they up so much in profits from the Cubs habitually losing that they don't care?

I don't think its strange. There have been a whole bunch of 6.5's already. These two pitchers are certainly more deserving of this total than others have been. Pelfrey with a sub 3 era, 3.66 on the road (one bad start) and LeBlanc with a 2.40 era at home and a career 2.47 era at home.

In a group that contains Correia, Garland, Takahashi, Fister, Lannan, and Richard...I see no reason why Pelfrey and LeBlanc don't belong in this group. They may not be huge names but their numbers are there.

Last night offensive explosion has no bearing on tonights game. In fact, the Padres scored 17 runs back on April 12th and came out the next night and score one run.

History tells me in a 3 game series with scores that high in the 1st game, the 2nd game
or 3rd game is very low. You might have to chase. Chasing O/U's sounds like a good
way to make money because the odds are right.

I look at last night's game as a pimple on my ass, it means zero in my book at least. pel-pooper has no business in a 6.5 run total and neither does the pen-man leblanc. there is no reason this total should be this low. if so then everyone in the world should have taken (and they might have) under 6 in yesterday's rockies/giants game with just a half run difference with theee best two pitchers in the nl on the mound. if tonight's pitchers are only a "half run worse" then i am jesus. not only that but the current offensive stats for the teams are also different. this line makes no sense, trust me i wish it did so i could clobber the over. if i was setting line it would at least 7 if not 7 over (-120).
