I say that he's amassed so many hits in such a short period of time, you'd have to say yes

#3It depends what you consider important, but if you were looking strictly at statistics, Ichiro very much is a hall of fame player not just because of his hitting skills, but also his defensive skills as well.Comment -

#5Tough call here, but I do think Ichiro will get in. Depending on how much longer he plays, the decision could get easier.Comment -

#9Most people forget he actually is in the 3000 hit club when you carry over his stats from the NPB league where he started. I hope that at least somewhat factors into the decision.
A side note here: It's very possible his career isn't close to over. Even once his speed starts to deteriorate, teams will still hire him for his effective bat.Comment -

#18Dave Parker is arguably better, Ron Santo (also arguable since he played 3B instead of RF which is way tougher), and I STILL think Pete Rose should be in, hands down.
Oh shyt, and Harold Baines! Forgot about him, but he was a HELL of a player.Comment -

#19if he retired today he would be in, collecting those kind of stats in such a small amount of time has been done only by a very few.Comment -
