Brian Burres vs Aaron Harrang

Burres
Burres is 2-1 on the year in 5 starts with a 4.91 ERA. In his starts, the Bucs are 4-1 as a team and average 6.4 runs per ballgame while allowing an average of 4 runs against in his 5 starts; the team wins and the kid gets run support. In his last 3 starts, he is 1-0 with a 4.24 ERA and the Bucs are 3-0 in those 3 games. The Bucs have only allowed an average of 3.7 runs in his last three starts and have averaged a whooping 9 runs per game during those 3 games. I really like the way this kid throws, the Bucs put up runs for him, and most importantly they are winning in his starts.

Harrang
Harrang on the other hand is just 2-5 on the season and the Reds are a lousy 2-7 as a team in his 9 starts. His ERA on the season is a brutal 6.02 ERA. In his last 3 starts he is 1-1 with a 4.82 ERA and the Reds are just 1-2 in those 3 games. As for runs, the Reds have averaged putting up 4.9 runs in his start while allowing 6.4 on the season, not good and this is shown in his lousy record.

I agree with you 100%. BTW, the Pirates are good at winning games in which they seem to have little chance of winning.

Not a bad small play with these odds. I'm thinking about playing it just for fun. Harang has been awful, and the Pirates are so unpredictable. Personally, I am surprised the line is this high.

He has been serviceable just barely. He is still awful. I can't wait until next year when he is gone from the roster.

that gives his team a chance to win the last 6 games he's pitched.... not worth 12 million.... I mean if he were a 5th or maybe 4th starter you'd take it though...
