    Is MLB attendance down?
It seems as if every time I see a game on in a sportsbook the stadium is totally empty. Even tonight's Red Sox Yankees game didn't look well attended.

Maybe it's just a sample size issue, but if attendance really is down as much as it seems this could spell serious trouble for teams operating on a thin profit margin. Does anybody have hard data on attendance figures this season?

There was nasty weather in NY all day. I don't know that I would have gone to that game even if someone gave me tickets.

That said i think attendance is down overall in MLB.

Thanks for the article, Andy. One of the things it mentions is the small attendance surge in Minneapolis, which I thought was funny since the one Twins home game I've seen on tv was pretty much devoid of fans.

The good news for baseball fans is that teams might start lowering ticket prices.

Hope so, the sport itself is boring enough, they should just give out tickets for free IMO...
