    Cubs -1.5, play of day?
Just finished doing my first once-over on the card tonight and I can't help but think that the Cubs are a great play tonight. I'm not one for putting my play of the day on a team starting off a road trip, but there's a lot to like.

    Any dissenting opinions?

*Left-handed Maholm on mound for Pirates against a right handed heavy power hitting Cubs lineup. He gave up 7 runs his only time facing the Cubs last year (in CHI)

    *McCutchen out for Pirates

*Dempster pitched well in both road starts for CHI this year

*Cubs swept ARI at home and had a day off to travel

I would like to take RL also. I need to rollover LooseLines 10$ bonus =) And I think Cubs -1,5 @ EV is the best way for first rollover.

I'm also liking the A's at home (and their 8,000 crowd) with Mazzaro fresh in from Sacramento, a guy who pitched very well early last year. They are facing Feldman who had an ERA over 7 in 4 starts against OAK last year and need a win to get back to .500. I think I'll take the +1.5 RL at -160 to be safe here.

CUBS 8-1 SU on the ROAD vs PIT last year, seem to have their number. CUBS have won last 3, Pirates dropped last 3, run line looks like a sound play.

Cubs hitters are clicking on all cyclinders right now, and Dempster has fared well in his career against pitt, seems like the play.

Damn you baker! Cubs need to take advantage of their RISP chances. 2-1. Let's open it up!

Grrr...a two out nothing rally turns into an infield single and then a HR and now I'm in quicksand! C-mon cubbies.

Hope it works out. I usually don't like to bet run line chalk in baseball.
