    Reds backers beware
I noticed many of you are on CIN tonight. On paper, makes total sense. I've noticed something about MLB teams coming back from long road trips, though -- like basketball, they tend to come out flat in their first game. Combined with an unproven SP in Leake going -- I'm just saying be careful here.

We'll see. I'm not guaranteeing anything -- just noticing a pattern of sluggishness from teams coming back from road trips.

Not sure I trust Ollie Perez enough to back the Mets, but I don't think I'd go with Leake, either. Surprised so many of the heavy hitters on this board have CIN as one of their favorite plays.

I was leaning more for the total 9.5 to go over... But Good Luck!

If you're going to play this game, I think it's the way to go. Of course, Ollie could pitch a gem and it'll blow up in your face, but the chances of that happening aren't as good as a 4 IP, 6 R, 7 BB type line.

if he spins a gem in that ballpark, then fml.

I think there's a better chance that Leake comes back down to earth than Ollie showing up. This should be at least a 6-4 game IMHO.

Remember, Leake's allowed either 5 ER or walked at least 5 in three of his four starts.

Also, the Reds rank 11th in the NL with a .241 BA against southpaws.

I think any backer of Cin tonight may merely be an indictment of Oliver Perez.

Leake has pitched great. The defense has been terrible though. His first two games of walking batters was a fluke. Just nerves. He has good control which is why he made the roster over Travis Wood.
