I know you guys all seem to love Tampa, but
Kansas City at +215 has tremendous value.

First of all, that's way too much to lay for a single MLB game in a 162-game season. Second, Hochevar can be very effective when he's on.

I'm not saying play KC, necessarily, but at least consider how pissed you'll be if you lose laying all that chalk.

I like the Kansas City play today also, but please don't say that's too much to lay for a single game. That is a ludicrous statement, as there are plenty of times over the course of the year that you should be laying more than that.

You want to put down $100 to win $40 on a single baseball game? That's a horrible investment IMHO.

That's true but the Rays won this same matchup (Hochevar/Garza) last year. For those who may want to fade Garza here, Royals FF will be better because the Rays have the clear edge in the latter innings.

Couldn't agree more with this. KC's bullpen is horrifically bad.

Can't they just make Soria a 3-4 inning closer?

Brah, when someone's "on" it generally means he's very effective. Even fat Sidney Ponson was "on" once in awhile. This is a total gamble, though. You're taking a sh*t team in KC with a sh*t bullpen against arguably the best team in MLB. You'll be lucky as hell if this game is tied after 6. Then just when you think you made a smart value play on KC, some schmuck will jog out of their bullpen and drop his pants on the mound. Save your money, brah.

I agree. The value is with KC. For me it would be KC or no play. Garza has only averaged around 5 innings in five starts the past three years against KC & the last time I checked TB's bullpen is not that good either. There's no way TB should be priced this high with Garza tonight. This game will probably come down to which bullpen sucks less. Look at happened last time Garza was a -200 fav. I like Garza but he can be streaky. I like KC tonight.

Like I said, you can get KC FF for +190.

I'm not necessarily playing the Royals -- I just think it's a bad investment to play TB on the ML. Just my take.

This is not a Hochevar/Garza, Royals/Garza nor Hochevar/Royals game. It's a Royals/Rays game. Yes, Garza hasn't won against the Royals but the Rays have won Garza's starts against the Royals. There's a difference between Garza and Rays. Here's my advice (if it matters):

                            Take Royals FF
If Royals FF cashes, take Rays 2H.

There's no doubt as to which of these 2 teams is better. There's also no doubt as to which of these teams is likely to win the 2H of this game.

Honestly right now Garza is TB's worst pitcher, however a Royals full game bet always brings heartburn

Royals FF +0.5 would be appropriate

well kansas city got crushed 9-1 by inning 4 so thats why Tampa was heavily favoured.
