#177A rubberband play is a bet that should win at a very high rate because poster Brock landers said so, Brock Landers is also the poster who coined the phrase.
A good example of a rubberband play would be Baltimore 5 Yankees 4 in this example Baltimore would have been the rubberband play.
hope that helped.Comment -

Feel free to explain what part about what I said was incorrect and ill retract it.Originally posted by Dark HorseIf with religion you mean belief system, your belief system is your religion. Again, it matters not what it is. You believe in it, you are loyal to it, would defend it, and yet have no proof of it, other than that, at one point or another, you chose to believe in it. #182I passed on the play Brock, but I hope you nail your next one. Just remember the important key is bankroll management. Dont give all what you have won back...withdraw some if you have to. Withdraw to what you orginally started with and start from scratch. Dont hurt yourselfComment -

They say hes very good, one of the few guys who can go something like 18-6 regularly.
However one of those six loses will usually be his last for awhile as he will bet his whole Bank roll and bust out till hes saved enough tips to get back into action.
Its an old story repeated over and over, decent capper with no money management skills whats so ever.Comment -

Solid picker poor MM gotcha, rochesterans is the best hands down in the subforums and probably on the whole site. Hes easily over 60% with over 400 plays. Guy can pick em like nobodys business but has no MM skills and bets with sbrpoints.
What do you mean by enough tips?Comment -

#191By no means am I knocking ya Brock. I do feel that the rubber band plays r losing value!! There seems to be one every other day?? Also after u won a bunch of rb plays in college hoops u said "there wont be many in baseball"?? I think we r going on quite a few since the butler game!!! Rubber band plays should be special not the yanks -160 with a fcking guy that is pitching who will be bagging grocerys in a yr. If u ask me the rubber band plays lost all street cred..Comment -

#197Cocky people who think they are betting gods when they win are fun to kick when they lose. Most fun actually.
And yeah, dont chase with more money tomorrow because "baltimore cant win 2 in a row" that's a huge square play.
Also, real gamblers dont bitch and cry about the coach or the pitcher when they lose because they understand that losses will happen. People that cry about that kind of stuff do it because they are on tilt because they have waaaaay too much of their bankroll on one game. Which is a repetitive problem for Brock, which is why he got bailed out by his family, which is why he went to Gamblers Anonymous, which is why he should not be gambling at all.
That is all.Comment -

#203I got the Yanks last night at -155. No brainer for me. No reverse line movements at the major books here in Vegas (Hilton, Stations, Coast Casinos). Should have won. Hughes outpitched Millwood (Hughes [4.5 going into this game] will have a higher VORP than Millwood [2.2 going into this game] at season's end). Girardi mismanaged the bullpen (again), and Jeter committed a costly error in the 8th. The Yanks gave this game to the O's. O's tried to give it back, but fell just short. Anyone who bet that the Yanks would give this one away and backed the O's, good for you.Comment -
