when a game is to be played, and you want to predict which one is going to come up with a victory, regardless of pints., what statistic would you take into consideration? pitching? batting? place of the game?
I am about to develop my personal statistic analysis in order to make my very own picks in baseball. I assume in a game, pitching will take more place than batting, assume 70% to 30%, so analyzing a game, if NY yanks VS Oakland, Oakland's pitcher is better than NY's in 20% and batting is about the same,,, I would take Oakland as a pick. what do you say?

3 years ago, I was focused on Starting Pitchers too much. I thought that good/better pitcher usually wins. However, then I learned that it was wrong. Hitting/bullpen are also important. Starting Pitcher is an important factor of course but not really important. Less then %50.. Probably %33-%35.
