9 Innings per game, 3 hitters per inning. A perfect game would mean no hits and no walks. 9 innings x 3 hitters per inning = 27. 27 hitters faced 27 hitters from the batters box to the dugout = 27 up 27 down.

Pretty impressive considering CC's history with slow starts....probably could of pulled it off mid-season.

i'm expecting to play the rays alot this season. They produce runs, steal bases and can defend very well in most positions.the first game of the yankee series we saw some support from the the first orioles series' cold hitters like pena's blast, uptons 2 hits and aybar got the dh from burrel and put one out too. this off of a vazquez with good stuff. if they could catch up with longoria's production the rays would more than contend. all this being said the sox knocked around cc in the opener with an offense that doesn't match tampa's. having missed tonight's game did the yank ace just dominate like he's paid to do or was this an exposure of a tampa team that has yet to shine absolutely? i saw a post claiming the rays weren't really showing up, but others sayin they just couldn't get it done. it's early but shutouts always cast doubt. any input would be appreciated.

also props to any over takers with the yankees putting up all 10 to make it happen! i lucked out on bein unable to place the under in time. leanin with tomorrow's over 9 with ray's havin an abused bullpen and the first 2 games goin 10 or more. wonder if i can sneak the cheese without the trap closing...
