Only stat i can find so far is a winning record of 8-4 and an ERA 4.20

Everything I see has really good things to say about the kid! On the other side Shields is fairly solid but he usually doesnt fair as well on the road especially with a good hitting team! On 8/1(nyy) he threw 7.1 w/4h 1bb 11so 0er..on 7/27(det) he went 6.2 w/9h 1bb 7so 2er..both at home then on 7/21(bal) he went 6.1 w/8h 1bb 1so 4er...and on 7/16(nyy) 6.0 w/4h 3bb 5so 3er..both on the road!

Sorry 19th but if u lost a 2-1 game (the two runs were solo hrs) against a team that was 10-29 in their div, ud be annoyed and get wasted too.....prob at the 19th hole

Volquez pitching for the Reds. He has great stuff but has struggled to find his command. He can be lights out against a struggling Cubs offense.

It is a rating system for pitchers and batters. I personally find the Pitcher's one EXTREMELY useful. It gives an NPERA, which is an adjusted ERA for each pitcher. lists them in order and has three different categories for different innings pitched. for a pitcher to be top 30 in the A category makes him a one of the top...check it out

In the start against Balt he had very good location but limited velocity. Beat the Orioles by deception rather then power. Balt was swinging early and often, failing to work the count and playing into the kid's strength. TB is much more selective as seen against Cecil last night so it could be a completely different story today

Shields and Mills both faced BAL not too long ago..now I know one was at home and one was on the road but it is the same batters and its something to look at! on 7/21 Shields was @BAL 6.1ip 8h 1bb 1so vs. 7/28 Mills was at home vs BAL and went 7.0ip 2h 3bb 4so??

Im fading CHC and FLA until they win 3 in a row...i dont care the circumstances, the pitcher, the opp, ANYTHING...both of them are horrible as of late, so riding that fade till they pick it back up (if ever)

Hard not to lean TOR in the early game. TOR bats have hit Shields very well (and very far), have some momentum from last night and Crawford is out again. I'm thinking a small play on the TOR ML might be in order, but the best play seems to be TOR TT over 4. Based on past history, it's hard to see Shields not giving up a HR or 2 in this one.
