A couple reasons. 1st I think KC just came off a long 4game boston trip and teams usually don't play well after returning home (same with hoops). They got two wins to a clearly better team and this often sets up for a letdown, and they are a bad home team anyways. Second I am a big proponent of streaks, and the angels winning two in a row finishing a series strong, while KC the opposite. And I like Santana and he usually pitches a good number of innings.
