i'm surprised that almost 70% are on lsu, yet the line for bama went from opener +1.5 to -1.

I don't understand why these ppl don't want to pick Bama as #1 if they win at the Superdome.

Back then LSU won 9-6 at Bama in OT. A close game, it was by no means a blowout by LSU. So this BCS game will be a real championship game. Both teams know what's at stake, where the winner gets a trophy and is going to be #1. Simple as that, nothing else.

Also that BCS system is too outdated and it needs to be restructured asap. With a small playoff system like march madness, if possible.

If you do not honor the winner of the BCS title game as the sole national champion then what in the hell is the point of the rankings?
Is the system Fair? NO - Should we have a playoff? YES - Did Ok. State get the shaft? YES!
Is the winner of the LSU \ BAMA game the sole national champion? YES!!

Well, some people just don't get it.
I know there's no playoffs, so you cannot compare with that, but it's like New England beat the Giants back during 2007 regular season, but they met again in super bowl. And the Giants won. Just like that. It's a BCS game and that matters, not a result from regular season.
If they are against making Bama #1 after a BCS win over LSU, they should have voted Okst to be #2 and not Bama as #2.

Actually it was only 14 points, Brees TD happened couple mins before end of the game. This time it's the playoffs, either the Lions win or they are out of the race and they know that- I'm pretty sure Lions will perform much better this time.

Yes, last time Lions played Saints, they had quite a few defensive starters out. I think lions play competitive here. 11 points is too much for a playoff game, regardless of the opponent, plus the lions have the offensive firepower to put up points, in a hurry just like the Saints. Only thing that scares me is there is no single player with playoff experience on the lions so it scares me if the Saints jump on Detroit quick with like 2 td's, how will they respond mentally.
