Although I am still testing Rev. Appears that Tampa Bay -220 would be the Morning Line Favorite on the Fav. system for today.

Your correct. I am waiting for at least 2 full rotations through the starting pitchers to begin playing the "Favorite System", but so far, it would have been 2-0 with todays play being on Tampa.

For my 3 plays today, 2 of them are chases from yesterday's losses, and I added a chase on the Dodgers. Kershaw is the Dodgers true ace, and I dont see them getting swept by Pit to open the season. So I am treating this Dodger play like a 2 game chase.

For those interested in how the weekend series look to be shaping up, here is what I got:

Friday's system plays will most likely include:

                  Detroit (Cleveland visiting)
                  Colorado (SD visiting)
                  Mets (Wash visiting)
                  Angels (Oak visiting)
                  Arizona (Pit visiting)

I will also be looking at playing: (outside the system)

                  Boston (visiting KC)
                  Philadelphia (visiting Houston)

That looks like a solid 7-0 card for the weekend!

                        I don't think I understand what games/system you're playing.

How is San Fran and Boston (A) bets, when they are both on their 3rd game of the series

And why is Arizona a (B) bet when they won their first game of the series, and you should be done with them?

Great question. I will be outlining my strategy when I get some time later on, but here is a brief overview of how I am playing this series chase system:

I am deviating from a "hard and fast" rules based system in this series sweep chase, especially in these first few weeks of the season.

Under the normal rules, like you mentioned, since Arizona and Boston both won their first games, they would be finished for that particular series. But here is my train of thought:

-With Arizona, I feel like they are a much better team than SD, they are playing 6 straight home games, and I like them against both opponents during that home stretch. Because we won the first game, I still like them to beat SD, and knowing that they have Pit coming in next, I would be playing that series anyway. So I am treating the last 2 games of the SD series and the first 2 games of the Pit series as a "chase". I dont see them losing 2 to SD and then 2 to Pit. Best case scenario would be to pick up the win tonight, and then play the Pit series as a typical series chase. This would allow me to get 3 units out of Arizona's first 2 series against 2 of the worst teams in the NL.

-With Boston, it is a very similar line of reasoning. I am a big fan of Lester and Lackey and see them as having an advantage over the Yanks 2 and 3 starters. The juice in these last 2 games with the Yanks will be low, and if the Yanks do come back and win the last 2 games of the series, well then Boston travels to KC. I was already going to be playing Boston in that series, so again, I am trying to get 3 units out of Boston's first 2 series. I am treating the first 2 games of the KC series as a "safe out" backup plan.

I know that is alot, but another system I researched over the Winter was when a team had 6 straight home/away games. Arizona falls into that scenario, and I am treating Boston the same way.

Once I get some time to outline my strategies, I will organize my posts and results to where you can follow the different systems alone, if you do not want to take all the plays.

As far as my reasoning with the Giants, this is what I got:

Cain had a great spring training and an amazing 2009 season. He could be an ace on most other teams. Myers had a very shaky spring training, and Houston has shown in their first 2 games that they are not going to be scoring lots of runs.

Similar to my above post, I will probably be playing SF in their next series as ATL travels out west. So, I am trying to "snag" an extra win today, and if it doesn't come through, I will continue the chase over SF's next 3 games with ATL.

So it is a combination of liking today's pitching matchup and also viewing the
SF-ATL series as my fall back plan for winning the 1 unit.

Thanks. Thats what I was wondering. I am going to jump on board with that too as I like the pitching matchup.
I know it is not part of the system, but I am personally going to play, starting today, on the Cubs, Dodgers, and Marlins, to not get swept in their series.

And for 4/8/2001 the ML Favorite play...Looks like Atlanta -180 and Tampa Bay at -175 might be that chase. Again, I'm just following along with Rev's plays and going real easy on all.

The Dodgers should be a no play. They are playing a "decent" at home team, yes they shouldn't get swept by them, but still it shouldn't of been a play from the start. I like to the Dodgers today (but no money on it)

Red Sox won the first game, so that series should be over. But the way he is playing, he counts six straight games as a chase. Chasing on a team that is playing against the Yankees isn't the best moves, I didn't even play this series due to the 2 good teams. Playing Boston this weekend @ Kansas City would of been the best bet, and save the money that you're laying on Boston against Yankees in the chase, and put that on a different game you like.

Just wondering about the Detroit/Cleveland. Is that a personal play?

Should be part of the "home sweep system" Where you just try to be +1 or +.5 Unit for the series. If the series is -150juice - 1st game - 150 to win 100 - 2nd game - 375 to win 250 - 3rd game - 935 to win 625....Thats to win 1 unit, cut your bets in half to win .5 unit

                                              April 7:

                                              Individual Games: 2-2

                                              Series: 2-0

Won the Arizona and San Francisco series to move to 7-0 on the year for the series record (+7.5 Units).

I will have a B Bet on LAD today.

Boston is a unique case. I began it in the middle of the series on the -1RL for only half a unit. I will carry these last two losses (-2.4 Units) over to the KC series, so there will be a C Bet on the 1st Bos/KC game.

interesting, and as you know rev, if you can take it all the way through this generally wont lose... just be careful with this... especially doing it with multiple 5 or 6 game chases...

we are doing great so far, the key to this is selectivity... ngates is right, as tempting as it looked, Dodgers should not have been a play at all, which is a critical decision because aside from trying to avoid any sweeps, I would say a second important goal is avoiding having to chase as many times as possible... we still got 5 months and hundreds of series to cherry pick from

good luck rev, I feel dodgers get it done for you today... it is weird they havent yet...

My feel in the first few days is, a couple of the "bad" teams are going to surprise us this year and turn out to be middle of the pack teams and..... The Dodgers are not a playoff team this year, and may turn out to be a .500 club in this season... I watched those games, dodgers not just playing bad, but also to the eye dont look like an elite team this year

stingy...you are right. my play on the dodgers was more of a play on Kershaw and Billingsley.

100% I think there are going to be a few surprise teams this season, and I do think the Dodgers are down this year. No way I see them making the playoffs!

No real lean on this game. If I was having to pick, I would probably just go with the home team, KC. But I really have no feel for this game.
