SIA has SEA U 83.5 at +120. I'm on it too. Every year they say "This is the year Seattle will be good and then they stink".

I think that everyone is overrating the Mariners this year. The under should be a good play.

I'm starting to think the same thing. No question they improved over the offseason, but the AL West is a tough division, and I'm not sold on Seattle's hitting. Seems like they have a lot of question marks about them. If Kotchmen can perform everyday...if Bradley can pull it together...

Seattle will struggle to score runs this year. If King Felix and Cliff get beat 3-2 and 2-1, it will be a long season for the Mariners...

does it get any better from a 1/2 perseptcive then ichiro and chone figgins? these guys will be on base all the time, and i like bradley to bounce back out of a big market like chi, into sea. gutierrez was take a step forward at 27.

how many teams really have deep pitching? safeco will help these back end guys not look as bad.

and cliff lee will likely be back in mid april. not a major injury and hes progressing well.

Hard to say. Everyone is jumping on the Texas bandwagon, but they will find a way to blow it, as they always do. Seattle is certainly not the best wager on the board. The whole AL West is way too up in the air for my likings. There are much better wagers

As a homer, I'm staying away, but we do have the best defense in baseball, also Erik Bedard may pitch before Cliff Lee does at this point, and he has much to prove. We also have the GM now to go get us a bat at the deadline if we are close (i.e. Adrian Gonzalez), so I'm not too worried. Angels will be down, Rangers and A's up, we will be in it. I'm seeing 85-90 wins (again, as a homer, though). Its not the end of the world if Cliff Lee misses 5 or 6 starts, he still gets to make 30 more. I started a thread about AL West win totals earlier today, there's value somewhere there, just not sure where....

i like angels over 84.5 they lost some pieces but still boast 4 legit starters and scioscia always finds a way, that with oakland under 78.5 i see them in the cellar in the west so no where near .500. Texas and seattle really can go either way texas seems to be on the rise and really solidified their staff
