I got premium a couple of years ago and was not happy with it. All the bells and whistles are cool, but they slow the play of the main game your watching down. Would definitely go with regular mlbtv.

I went premium last year but will get regular this year.

Only differences between them this year are you can watch 4 games at once with premium but the video quality sucked last year when doing that and you can chose home or away announcers. Not worth it in my opinion.

reg version is what I have been thinking as well so I am going with that as the extras are nice also slows my comp down.

Premium is really nice if you've got a computer that can run it with ease. None of the extra stuff is really necessary though, unless you're a Fantasy fanatic who needs all the games on the screen at once.

If you have a deck by the pool, you can easily set up a tv and run a splitter or pay for the second connection on a stand/table. During the summer, we run a line outdoors so we can watch the games there. Just my $0.02 on the subject.

I've always just bought the season package on cable and I'm considering adding mlbtv this year. Can anyone tell me if they had lag issues with mlbtv?

High Def is available for both premium and regular this year.

3 Differences are home and away broadcasts, dvr controls, and mulit game view are available for premium and not regular.

sorry NO deck by this pool as its the local community pool and I am still working with the supervisor to get WiFi there which I told him would attract more patrons and parents of kids that just get dropped off but the location is close to enough houses and business to pick up off them.

i think the premium is the way to go in terms of quality, but it starts to delay longer and longer as u continue to watch the same game, at least until u refresh

ideally, i would order mlb extra innings and get a hd sling box, but since i havent tried it personally yet, i dont know what little problems i would run into to yet

I've had premium for the past two years, and again this year. Honestly, I never use the DVR - that seems to be the only worthwhile feature since now both packages get HD streams.

Premium last year, probably again this year. Never had lag problems, but you'll want to have a good computer. Mine is a bit of overkill for mlbtv, I'm running a HP laptop w/ AMD dual core 64 bit, 6 gigs of ram, ati radeon graphics card connected to a Samsung 46" via hdmi, not trying to brag, just sayin I wouldn't use some old ass Dell or lil netbook, it'll burn up trying to watch 4 at once

I'm going to bump this just because mlbtv is so awesome. Pipe four games onto the big screen. Very acceptable quality. No real lag issues. Chose it over Comcast for the flexibility.
