#2I'm backing off TB tomorrow myself AC. I feel fortunate that I escaped with a win tonight, so no way I'm chancing that winning again.Comment -

#5Gaudin's horrible. That being said, I don't have much confidence Hammel can pitch a good game, even against Oakland's offense.Comment -

#8i like the mets, glavine at home is gold. Don't trust the braves without renteria in the lineup + hudson on the mound. st-louis needs to beat teams like florida if they wanna flirt with 1rst place. i like oakland -119 alot, they have won 4 straight on the road, TB is 1-9 L10 games Hammels has started and are 11-30 on series oppeners.Comment -

#15heres my thoughts, you asked.
NYM - Glavine last lost july 2, last 4 games has only gave up runs of 1,2,2, and 1, Germano started the season 5-0, since then hasn't won since july 15, last 3 games pitched well only giving up runs of 3,1,2, but got 1L and 2 no-dec's, Mets are a better hitting team at home then the Pads are on the road.
ATL - Carlyle has had 2 bad losses in a row, but Ramirez sucks, he has control issues, i seen him pitch here at home in louisville, the Braves hit .287 on the road vs. the reds hitting .263 at home.
Wash - Lannan, take out his last game @ Shea, and he only gave up runs of 1,1,and 2, both of the 1 run games were on the road and he lost one 0-1 and got a no-dec in the other a 2-3 loss, Gutierrez hasn't done well since coming out of the pen, he did face the Nats on aug 20 for 1inn 2h 1r 2k 1bb, the Stro's actually have a better hitting team and a slight bull-pen edge, but the Nats find ways to win on the road, they have been a very profitable team for their backers on the road this season.
Flor- Vandenhurk did win against the Cards on july 17, actually the fishes only win against the Cards this season, the last 5 he's started have all been losses for the Fish, getting 2 losses and 3 no-dec's, tkae out Reyes last game vs. the Cubs and for the 5 prior he gave up only 2,1,3,2,and 2 runs going 2-2 with 1 no-dec, and the 2 losses were against S.D. where he went 7inn and gave up only 1 run but lost the game 0-4, the other was at the Mets going 5inn 2h 2r and losing 0-2, the Cards are hitting .280 at home vs. the Fish .270 on the road, Cards are playing good as of late and have the better pen.
Pitt - battle of lefties, Morales looked good in his debut @ the Dodgers, the Rocks hit .296 at home vs. the Pirates hitting .251 on the road.
Tor - i know Litsch has lost 2 in a row giving up 5 runs each, but Santana , besides his last outing @Boston where he went 6.1inn 4h 1r ball, teams have treated him like a hitting clinic. his last win was june 9, the bad thing is the halo's hit a ridiculous .312 at home, but with Figgins out, the hit-and-run base stealing threat is lower and Matthews Jr. is still playing with his nagging injury, Litsch has never faced the halo's so thats a plus for the jays, and some of the jays players have had good success against Santana in the past, look for Matt stairs to be a factor in this game, i think this is the Jays only chance to still one in this series.
Oak - the A's just always seem to play better in aug every year, Gaudin hasn't done much lately, but neither has Hammel
the plus is the A's hit .268 on the road vs. the Rays hitting only .256 at home, and the A's have the better pen.Comment -
