I don't understand this philosophy. If you spent hundreds of hours capping baseball throughout the year and then you win/lose just a little, how is that a positive thing? If you are going to be a degen you may as well be making money while you are doing it, otherwise you are just wasting your time unless you are truly a fan of the game and don't mind sitting there watching everyday.

OK hot shot.. This is not the NBA.. tell you what.. Make 600+ plays in MLB next year and keep an honest record then you might know what I am talking about. Go back to the "ball" you know.

I would never succeed in this sport because I do not watch the game. Why are you getting angry? Why would someone waste their time making 600+ plays if they would be lucky to come out in the black at the end of the season like you say. That's all i'm asking.

This is the 18th game in 18 nights, lus coming off a 7 game road trip across country with a long game last night.

I see tons of value on +215 and even money on RL plus bats should be sluggish, so the Under 8.5 looks solid as well.

I'm on all three here.

go ask the hundreds of people here (they're prob gone now) who got slammed and wind up in GA cause they have no control and dont know how to manage their bankroll.

i spend 30 minutes a day capping my games - this is a hobby for me and if i win a few bucks great. i'm a sports fan first - gambler second.

trust me im not happy that im down $390 YTD......but i also dont lose sleep at night like many here likely do cause they bet over their head and chase when down. i learned those lessons the hard way in high school.

so instead of betting the $100-$500 per game i do, are you suggesting i just drop a $25,000 play on 1 game?

trust me....when i get in the black i will take more shots and try to make a big score....i just havent been in the black a sig amount to do that. im not going to drop a HUGE play when it can bury me.

But people that do this for a living, like I suppose Lyon does, why sit here and waste all this time capping games if you would be considered "lucky" to come out in the black at the end of the year. The mentality for a professional gambler should be winning, not saying "I'll be lucky to come out in the black." And if chances of you winning in this sport are not great, no time should be invested into capping. Because Time is also money

I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say. Being in the red is no problem, and your money management is solid. As you said this is a hobby for you, like it is for me. The above post will probably clarify what I was trying to ask Lyon.
