    Pujols out tonight
Anyone who was planning on taking either the under or Washington (I took both), those lines will probably be significantly worse in an hour.

No pujols in the starting lineup sounds good to take the opposite team using ONE FACTOR ALONE , the fact he will be in uniform and can come off the bench at anytime and hit a grand slam ............ baseball can be funny . Cards all day here with the under . One factor can outweigh another in gigantic proportions . The factor of one man not starting you have keyed on putting your $ there huh , plzzzzzzzzzz tell me how big a factor it is to have Joel Hanrahan starting and getting torched in his 2nd start , where is the experience to not make that a bigger facote than a pujols that could go 0 - 4 if he started and 1 - 1 with a hr because he didnt start , yeah . We will see . I am probably way off here . Joel vs Joel in a pitchers ballpark , one pitcher has all the experience in the world where hitters hit 200 against him on the road where the other is as yellow as yellow can be .

Lest not forget the fact/factor he does have a replacement that is a professional . To take a last place team for $ is pretty rich , like chasing ghosts in a run down house in your neighborhood , thinking there is something there because of something you heard , ahhh like a key player being out . I would like your worst team in the leauge to stay hot pick if the Cards were only fielding 8 players .

I wouldn't put any credence at all in Pineiro's BAA on the road in such a limited sample of work, especially since he basically only entered the game for mop-up duty with Boston. Check out his numbers as a starter since '05: 14-23, 6.05 ERA, 414 H in 330.1 IP, 43 HR's allowed. Sure he has "experience," but he hasn't been a big league quality pitcher since '03. I mean, Jose Contreras has experience, but it doesn't mean he's not horrible.

In more simplier language the word override , something happens more than not to OVERRIDE the go against the team with the big player out strategy . We will see . Twins won , I was wrong there .

Right I agree not much on Pineiro batt av against on road , but the experience holds true , it should be a good game . Also he was pitching against tough AL teams not a sorry last place NL team in a pitchers ballpark . Watch him get fly in red , a uniform can carry you for the 1st start , just liek it carried the Nats pitcher his 1st start against the Mets , he did well . A uniform carry you ? All in the mind . Everything is mind first then the body will carry you .

5 run 4th inning looks really good for the Nats in the 5th ,not too mention flukeish but watch out for Albert , hes starting to think about stretching and warming up in the on deck circle .

So this is how it unfolded >> going against teams with key player out . Tigers fell at home to W-Sox . Cards fell at the Nats . Os fell at D-Rays . Braves still cashed with no Andrew . No Shef No Pujols No Roberts , loss loss loss , no Andrew , win . 3 out of 4 , pretty good for that strategy for sat aug 4th ,very nic .
