Don't blindly tail people or you will get burned. Get mlb.tv and watch all of the games during April/early may. Then once you feel like you know the teams well enough, make ur own decisions.

You have to TRUST your gut and go with it. There are plenty of magazines out there available now and the internet has all kinds of sites out there full of information out there and as stated by fifawcs above it is a great idea to gie the teams a few weeks to a month to get a feel with new additions/rookies etc learning to play together as a team. I personally can't wait but do a lot of reading actually more now than any other sport even when I was in school...LOL. If your going to follow/tail someone remember that a day of wrecking will eventually come and remember they didn't force you to tail them so you can't blame them when bankroll is gone. As for your bankroll I suggest as what i do is play very small units til middle/ late may before upping my units til I get a feel for how teams are playing and how they play certain teams.

GOOD LUCK this season as I wish us all here the BEST in 2010.

If you must tail, tail one of the following posters for bases:

rjt721 (he was +75 or so units in 2008 and had a rough 2009)
        topgame85 (good on totals)

        Oh wait, they're gone.

        So go with:

Justin7 (he posts picks occasionally and he is very solid)
        Pairof5's Sir
Machine Choice for 2 team parlays (just don't follow his money management style)
Chute Box (plays a ton of games though so have the bankroll to tail)
        Me

I've never understood this concept. If someone is better than you, there is nothing wrong with tailing.

Good luck my friend. Search around and get a comfort level for a particular selection philosophy or angle. See you in the thread.

to be honest last year was my first year betting mlb. i was so fcking bad, i had to stop. literally lost every week to my local. fantasy baseball and betting dont mix!!!

this year i thought about buying some picks, but i figured i can tail better cappers on SBR for free.

It really makes zero sense to bet your own picks if you suck at it. I can't for the life of me figure out why people always tell others to make their own picks when they admit they're either not good or don't know the sport
