I like the 5-inning line much better here. I do like Atl a little, and I bet them myself, but their pen will be a big liability here. It may not matter if Hudson goes 7+ innings and leaves with a 3+ run lead. But that is a modestly big if. I like the 5-inning line mich better. But I do think Atl is the right side in this one.

That game was especially brutal because I was watching the entire thing on TBS and am also a Braves fan (also, i was doing a damn case study for B-School so I had two stomach-aches). i had the RL bet at +130 so I felt pretty damn good heading into the 9th. Hudson looked damn good for 8 2/3. When they put Yates in at the end I almost had a heart attack. I mean, I know the pen was stretched thin at that point but for some reason, i would have more confident if they would have just let a position player pitch underhand. Yates kills me, as a Braves fan. Just kills me. But 7-5 and we have a winner. I'm not sure how I'll be able to forgive Detroit for killing not only a RL bet, but also a 6 team parlay (at +1810) that hit 5/6... How do you blow a 7 run lead against the damn White Sox? I'm now opening a bottle of 1997 Heitz cab to think of what could have been... congrats IMG on your plays today. It seems like you were away for a bit, but it's always nice to hear from you old sages. i feel like I just snorted coke with Lohan right now. That Braves game was intense... Bases Juiced, down 2 with 1 out. Sometimes I take my love of gambling and researching for granted. Then a day comes through where a superior team blows a 6 run lead in the 6th-8th innings and costs me a 6 team parlay and a RL wager, but yet at the end of the day, the Braves score 3 in extra innings after blowing a 4 run lead in the 9th, and go on to cover my RL play... What a hobby...

IMG, I'm no newbie to gambling but watching that game was like sipping on a nice glass of chocolate milk then finding out it was laced with PCP (the 9th inning) then wondering how PCP would affect you because all you've heard is horrible things, then you start to hallucinate (Wait, so Tyler Yates is coming in??? the same Tyler Yates who has an ERA over 16 in July and just two nights ago gave up 4 runs in 1/3 inning)??? That guy???). Then you find out it wasn't PCP in your chocolate milk, it was just sugar (And Yates gets an awkward save)... When Bonds scored to make it 7-5 and the TBS cameras focused on him as he wobbled to the dugout, I had absolutely no doubt that the game would get extended and Barry would hit a walk-off in the 15th...
