Good point. I used to think that motivation didn't carry much weight, but you are right, there is something to be said for the suck it up, revenge, or whatever you want to call it factors. Most of these guys are actually playing the game because they want to compete at the highest level. The ones that don't wear thin real quick and are soon gone. Watch what happens to Zambrano and Haynesworth.

Would this be on another team, say second or third layer team, I could understand it more but it's not - this is the team I know better than the rest of the leagues. JV can be beaten, like anyone else, but this afternoon wasn't the time. Good examples/points. Three outs to go.

It was but the Cubs nearly gave the game away in the bottom of the ninth. I know enough about soccer/futball to know not to wager more than upon it and enjoy watching the games now and then.

I have zero problems from where people are from - there is a person from China that I regularly exchange e-mails. In my first posted N.H.L. season here, there were many from Europe as well. I truly believe everyone can learn from one another which is why I welcome thoughts on any game. Not only will it help the person asking (getting answer) but gives myself some insight into the person asking the question. I certainly don't know it all nor will make such foolish claims. I know what works on this end and share the output (not the process) when able.

Let's continue to have a successful season.

it is now midnite in here. it is +6 from eastern us time and i thought detroit is in the same zone as stl and chicago (which would be an additional hour of difference - 5pm right now, correct).

I live near Cracow (thought that was the name you know 'krakow' in english) and for past 5years I've been living mostly in Crocow actually because I am just about to graduate from university of economics in cracow. BTW, think this is the right place to mention that the topic of my Master thesis is 'NBA point spread market efficiency in seasons 2006/07 - 2009-10'.

TA, Congrats on the sweep, and congratulations on breaking through the triple digit mark for the month. My brother's new girlfriend converted him to be a White Sox fan which I am a bit disgusted with. We all watched the game today after I got off the roof. The nice little lady asked me how in the world I knew that the lowly Cubs would have their way with the White Sox. Remember the Cubs are bad sure, BUT they will always go for that moral victory. As a Chicagoan that is what I will tell you about the Cubs. They will play harder to NOT get swept by the other Chicago team than they will most of their games :-)
