What do you guys think of these picks?

Take Milwaukee -135 over Colorado: Make sure you have Chris Capuano as listed because he will a late write-in for this game. The Rockies have had a rollercoaster season of late and now they will start to dip against the NL Central leaders. The Brewers finished the first half poorly and need to put together a few solid victories in order to establish that they are the team to beat.

Take Los Angeles (-1.5 RL) -105 over Texas: The best in the AL West takes on the worst and expect this game to be an all-out route by the Halos. Escobar is pitching for the Halos and he has been outstanding this season posting a 10-3 record with a 3.19 E.R.A. and that is three runs less per game then what Ranger starter Kevin Millwood is allowing. Millwood has had trouble adjusting to Ameriquest Field in Arlington and has yet to get his grove on. LAA takes this game by a comfortable margin.

First off, Welcome to the SBR forum

I actually was liking the Rockies in that game myself, however I'll most likely just pass on the game altogether though. As far as your Halo's/Texas play goes. I also like the Halo's tonight, but I just can't lay the that much wood.

    BOL to you sir

        Welcome to SBR sadler.

As far as your picks, I have no opinion on them, as I am neither on or against them.

        Good luck tonight.

sadler, good luck on the Brewers. I, however, am on the Rangers so I'll just say, "Enjoy the game".

Welcome to the forum... I think you will enjoy it here... It can be fun and challenging so I am sure you'll like your stay... I also have no opinion on your picks but I am a last minute bettor too so that might change...

            Good Luck

Hi Sadler, welcome to the forum. I have to say I disagree with both of your picks, although only mildly. Francis and Colorado should be pretty even and competitive overall with Capuano and Milwaukee. I think Milwaukee should be a very small favorite, but not more than that, I think whatever value there is on the ML in this game is with Colorado.

And on the other side, that is a tricky one. If I were going to take the Angels, I would definitely take them on the ML, not the RL. The Angels pull out a lot of one-run games at home, and with Millwood looking like he's getting back on track, and with Texas having a solid bullpen, winning by a margin will not be easy for the Angels. I think any value with them would be erased by taking the RL.
