I wouldn't pay no mind to those last 3 starts for Jeff. That has interleague mixed in. He is a decent pitcher in the NL. I would have to play Boston in that one if I was to bet it.

Actually, Weaver did not have some starts vs. the NL mixed in with his last three - they were ALL vs. the NL!
And Razz makes an excellent point that Weaver's poor WHIP over his last three is a stronger indicator than his deceptive ERA.Comment -

Excellent point Razz. That WHIP tells me the weak NL couldn't come up with that clutch hit.

Footnotes: Before Weavers last start his WHIP was at 2.23. Thats dangerously close to putting 3 men on per inning. Yikes. Sometimes the guy finds his stuff though.
Tavarez is a gamer. You don't see emotion from many pitchers. I've seem him yell at his infielders for screwing up plays....which is not a good thing, but it tells me he wants to win every time out.
Who's been the better pitcher this year.....Tavy or Buehrle? I think Tavy's been the better pitcher than both Wakefield and Buehrle.Comment
