I'm passing on this game guys. If anything I lean towards the under in this one.

Definitely a game with a huge amount on unknowns, so if I do bet it it will be a very small amount. I feel like I have a much better sense of how the lines will move than what the final score will be. The total will be bet over early in the morning and afternoon tomorrow, and then will be bet under in the final half-hour or so before game time. I think both general moves will be pretty strong. It might even go up to 10 and then back down to 9.5. The game line will probably not move much, and have a small overall move to Baltimore, closing around -115 or so.

Oakland is having some bullpen problems. Street sometimes doesn't deal well with going consecutive days in a row, and if he goes in this game it'll be 3 days in a row for him. The rest of the pen is also having some problems as well. Duchscherer and Calero should be as good as they've always been this year, but after that the pen is a little thin. In a game like this with a questionable starter and the pen a little extended, that could factor in, especially on the road. So I do like Baltimore here a little actually. Baltimore's pen, of course, has been very good so far this year, and it's deep, so it should continue. If the game is close in the later innings, Baltimore should have a solid advantage.

Switching my pick for this one, I like Oak as a small dog here. I think Braden will throw at least as good a game as Guthrie, probably better. The bullpens are a bit of a concern. If the game goes to extra innings, Oak will be at a real disadvantage, but overall I like Oak here now. I think Oak will have a modest lead going into the late innings and some combo of the Oak relievers should be able to hold on.

game update, end of the second, bal is one run behind. i hate watching a team doing catch up. it is like betting on the yankees last night...most of the time, it turned out to be pretty disappointing

a lot of 1-2-3 innings, so the pitch count are in the mid 40's at the 4th inning. seems like both pitchers can go 6-7 innings in this game.
