my bad...yankees are +100 at my place, was +105 at morning...
anyway, i know you dont bet when a team faces a top 20 pitcher, but what if other team too have top 20 pitcher, no.5 in this case!?
I think that kind of games are a coin toss too..
also, Texas is Best dog in MLB on road, percentage wise, and Perez is not that bad of a player, he won last 2 on road 5-2 and 6-1, Sale L8 at home is 4-4, coin flip too

All good points. In the case of a dog with a top20 pitcher with a home or road record above .490 there is a play in S3.

Otherwise, I only post plays that fit the systems. You can't properly track the systems by inserting your own personal opinions. Follow the rules and post the plays, that's what I do. This is a tracking thread.

Good suggestions Zwer. Only problem is that those stats you dug up only cover this season. Who's to say those same trends/stats will continue next season or have been backtested to ensure that this season wasn't an anomaly. Obviously, betting dogs is the way to go in baseball and S2 needs tweaking. The chase suggestion isn't a bad one as chasing dogs doesn't require juice. I just think the best way to revise S2 would be individual capping tools instead of blindly following the system no matter what. It's a little easier to blindly follow S1 and S3 as there are less games and thus, less risk.

i completly agree, i dig out some other peoples threads for underdog plays from 2011season and one from 2012, they were around 45%-46%, -10units at the end of their thread, played something similar to yours.
and also, i forgot to mention, i capped games last season and i was picking alot of plays but also any dog with a fair chance to win, at the end of season i had 135 - 143, that's not bad at all for dogs.

I tried this 3 times

System #1 Description
1) If both starting pitchers are in the Top 20 in the AL or NL according to the Sagarin ratings then play the “under”

and it failed all 3 times.... Over/under in baseball is a 50/50 at best.......I used a winner system and it works great....
Look at the season record for a team above 500 and look for a pattern in wins like they always seem to win 2 in a row....so I wait till they loss and than win and bet on them to win next game and it works 80% of the time....
