I don't think either team has a serious chance of beating the Yankees.

I felt Detroit had a shot had they not choked. They wouldn't have had to use Verlander today, and he's been tremendously overworked this month.

Jim Leyland said the Homer Dome is the loudest place he has ever encountered; he attended a World Series there (I don't remember the Pirates or the Marlins playing in a World Series against the Twins, so this must have been a broadcasting appearance) and it was LOUD.

He knows the Tigers are up against it; they have been in a slump the last few weeks, and should have put the division away already. Other than Magglio, they are hitting for crap right now.

Twinkies win on Tuesday easily, perhaps by 4 or more runs.

although, I'm still hoping for a Tigers miracle...
