Discovered a really simplistic way to manage the labby. I need to go back through this season and compare current results to new method though. I think you will like how simple it is though.

Start with a 10 unit line (1# = 1 unit) $20 x 10. If you have a winning day your line stays at $20 x 10. If you have a losing day you take your line ($20 x 10) + loss (-$87 as example) and avg it out over the 10 #s. ($200 + $87) / 10 so next day your line is $28.70 x 10 and betting $28.70 per game. If you reach peak profit, you keep your line fresh at $20 x 10.

It does take a little longer to recoup losses, but doesn't jeopardize the bankroll. Once I retest this season I will share the results of this method. I went with 10#s because of the higher juice and spreading out the losses so the bets do not become martingale. However, you are more than welcome to do 5,6,7, or 8+ #s of your choice. Just figure out what percentage of the loss you want to recoup at a time and avg # of plays a day. Where 5#s is going to spread the loss out 20% over the 5 bets, 6#s 17%, 7#s 14% etc etc. Maybe $20 x 5 would be better for this system as it usually doesn't have more than 5 plays at any point in time. 20% doesn't sound too bad either, so that will be my first run of it.

Strategy was just $100 ($20 x 5) + amount lost since peak profit then divide by 5. Betting one number each game. Even if there were 8 games would still only use 5#s on my line.

I also tested using a 10# labby ($20 x 10) with the same strategy / 10. Biggest bet was only $97, but profit was only $52. I guess it depends on your risk tolerance.

Worse stretch was April 12th - 22nd with 6 wins - 17 losses (26%)

Feel free to ask any questions. Again it doesn't change the system in any way at all. I only tested it via regular system, but can easily add in the filter plays to the line as well. Would say just keep a minimum of 5#s on your line and a maximum of 10#s. Doesn't need to be too stagnant. Grecycle has been a master of trying to keep the bet size small where he decides if he wants to bet 1# on the line or 2#s on the line.

Just a quick example if we are betting 1# but the line is pretty heavy. Let's say heavy = 5units+ per bet.

LINE: $114 - $114 - $114 -$114 - $114 OR ($114 X 5) to win 5.7u per play.

Say we have two games to bet on
(A) NYY -186 to win 5.7u ($212 to win $114)
(A) LAD -164 to win 5.7u ($187to win $114)
If both plays lose you take (($114 x 5) + $212 +$187) / 5
New line $193.8 x 5
Now if you are not comfortable with $193.8 per play (9.69u) you would say instead of keeping it at 5#s I am just going to add the loss to the end of the line and go to 7#s.
(($114 x 5) + $212 +$187) / 7
New line ($138.32 x 7)

The trick is to stay within 5-10#s on your line. The reason I don't want to go below 5#s is because with the heavy juice, if you have 3#s on your line for instance and you get a play at -185 odds you are essentially playing martingale. If your line was $75 - $75 - $75 and bet to win $150 when you lose = -$277.50 new line ($125-$125-$125-$125) next bet is now to win $250. Not completely doubled but a big increase!

If we would of stuck to the system warnings of either skipping April all together or using half unit size with the line we would not of had to risk more than 5-10 units on any wager and so many people would not of jumped ship so early. You can see previous seasons all had the same issue in April. Rough start but the line eventually clears and ends up printing 50-150 units on the season. Just have to be comfortable betting 10-15 units when things get really bad. However, as I said if you're ok with small profit the 10# labby biggest bet was under 5 units for this season! Which has been really rough! I am doing this 5-10# line myself with all my personal bets. I really suck at picking my own plays, so this seems to help quite a bit with recovering losses :-) The reason you don't go above 10#s is because the line will take forever to clear and you don't recover the losses as fast. The most plays we have had in a single day not including the 5/2 or filtered system was 8.

One last thing. On this current line say we win a bet ($46.52) instead of having $23.26 x 2 for the next day where the unit size stays the same, just keep four #s on the line. It sucks when your line is heavy and bet size never gets smaller in the traditional method of managing the line! After a winning day it would be a relief if the bet size was smaller right?

$23.26 x 4 you win a game. (lets say you bet to just win 1# instead of 2. so minus -$23.26 from the line. You then take ($23.26 x 3) / 4 for $17.44 x 4 so next bet instead of being to win $23.26 per game it's only 17.44 per game. When you get a sweep of 3-4 games You clear the line completely or if you go 3-1 a couple of times you will see you still reach a peak profit and when the line avg out to below $20 x 5 (less than 1u per game) you simply start with a fresh line because line is below 1u per game. I always thought it was a bit strange when you have $86 x 14 and you go 4-0 on the day and feel great! Next day you have $86 x 6 and have to bet the same large amount again. Just not a good feeling and when variance kicks in as it did April 12th-22nd the line just gets absolutely destroyed!

Responding from my phone so will keep it short.
1) I would only play regular system to avoid overlap and extra variance.
2) because system can take up to 100 unit swing, would advise having at least 200 units i.e $10k roll = $50 unit size.
3) for the "labby line" bet to win one # at a time but start with 5 numbers on your line, I would probably start with betting to win half a unit at a time ($25-$25-$25-$25-$25) or $25 x 5. This helps with the juice being high as well. I would add 1# for each loss and cross 1# for each win. But cap my line at 10# max. Avg out the line with loss added after each day.

Example
Starting line: $25 x 5
Nyy, lad, & hou say each game is -162 to make it easy $40 to win $25. If you go 0-3 you lose -$120.

25-25-25-25-25-40-40-40
Then avg out the line.
$31 x 6 (I round to nearest dollar to make it more clean).

Day 2 say you go 0-3. This is the key part of the system. Instead of having $31 x 3 left on your line. You want to keep 5#s on your line to help with the variance. This way bets only increase about 20% when you go 0-1 and 40% when you go 0-2. So line would be 18.6 x 5 but because it's less than half unit each would start with fresh line of $25 x 5.

System is about streaks. While 0-3 and 3-0 didn't make money eventually you get to about 59% with this system and hit a streak and recover the loss plus some profit.

If you are comfortable with a certain amount to wager you can cap the line at 6#s as well. I just prefer 5-10#s because there is a lot of variance especially in April and with Covid the system is really screwy.

Last example if you keep your line at 5#s.
Same as before 0-3 for day 1
Nyy, lad, and hou $40 to win $25 each.

New line: (125 +120) \ 5
Avg: $49 x 5
Next day 3-0
Profit day 1: -120
Profit day 2: +147

At peak profit you start with a fresh line ($25 x 5). This is basically what I am doing if bets start to feel uncomfortable I'll go to 6# or 8#s on my line.

I would seriously consider adding a filter for teams sub .500 to this system. Check how many of the teams had series losses this season that were under .500 at the time. Of course it does take away some of the profits as well. Just looking for ways to lower the variance. ATL series is pretty scary TBH.

Edit: I clearly was wrong about ATL as they are blowing the mets out! Skipped this bet and picked a couple of losers instead. On the other hand, Hou wtf!?!?
