Tomorrows Colorado Rockies game is going to kind of be like the home-run derby, now I know what you mean. You could very possibly have just read the last statement and said silently to yourself "What the **** is that supposed to mean?" Let me elaborate further. Washington Nationals starter Collin Balester does two things; after the Nationals lose, and we get paid, he likes to go to strip clubs and collect STDs, and the second thing.... He likes to give up home runs, early and often. His fortunes may not change with Carlos Gonzalez possibly set to remain in the leadoff spot for the Colorado Rockies. Gonzalez, who has homered in three straight games, looks to help the Rockies become the latest team to take advantage of a match up with Balester as they face the Nationals on Wednesday night. Batting first, Gonzalez extended his home run streak with a solo shot in the eighth inning as Colorado (66-53) opened this three-game set with a 4-3 win over Washington (43-76) on Tuesday night.The 23-year-old center fielder, who had previously been batting second, has five homers and nine RBIs in his last seven games after going deep just twice in his first 45. Good thing Gonzalez figured some things out, and tomorrow with Balester occupied thinking about what STD he's looking to get that night instead of focusing on the game, Gonzalez is bound to have another one. Gonzalez's latest homer was one of three hit by Colorado. Brad Hawpe and Clint Barmes also connected for the Rockies, who have 16 in their last eight games. They may get more against Balester (1-2, 6.00 ERA), who has been vulnerable to the long ball. He has surrendered a combined five homers through the first two innings of his last two starts and 21 in 104 innings for his career. The rookie right-hander has allowed three homers and five runs in each of his last two outings. Balester lasted five innings in his last start as Washington lost 7-0 to Cincinnati on Thursday night. Do you see the makings of a blow out? Well when the Cincinnati Reds come in and own you like the little whore-bitch you are than yeah... I definitely see one brewing. Colorado will counter with Jason Marquis (13-8, 3.55), who has a 2.37 ERA in his last eight starts.The right-hander allowed one run and three hits while striking out six in seven innings of Colorado's 10-1 victory over Pittsburgh on Thursday. I anticipate the score to be somewhat of that nature, however I decided to stray from the total as Washington could fizzle in offense if they get shut down quickly, teams who are already losing seem to give a **** less, and give up easier. Marquis, who is 3-4 with a 3.36 ERA in 12 starts versus the Nationals, will face a Washington team that has scored three runs or fewer in five of its last seven contests. The Nationals failed to take advantage of 10 hits Tuesday, stranding nine runners. Washington third baseman Ryan Zimmerman is 3 for 14 following a 16-game hitting streak. He's 3 for 17 in four games against Colorado this year. Look for this to not be much of contest, but it's okay, we'll give Balester something to think about while he's at the strip club. Amen to that brother. I credit ESPN all the way for statistical standpoint however, my decision in picking that team or placing them in a particular order doesn't really derive from them. My research is far extensive than just ESPN.

I like the Rox and Over 9 myself! Colorado will beat up Balester as noted and he's a 5 inning guy anyway so the horrible Nats pen will get into the act! The Nats can swing a little bit too and Marquis might look like slowpitch softball after facing Jimenez's 100 MPH last night!

The Yankees murder lefties and -130 is a great price with the way they're streaking versus almost anyone! Gaudin isn't much either so Over 9 hits here too w/the Yanks prevailing!

With a quick 5 run lead the Texas Rangers really fumbled a giant blank yesterday. Oops, we mother****ing suck donkey balls - Or at least that's what they must've been thinking when coming off of the field last night. But tonight shouldn't be any better. It's funny about this Texas Rangers team, against the big boys, they do fine. Against the losing nobodies they pee themselves. Kevin Millwood (9-7, 3.31 ERA) will be pitching today. Millwood has yet to beat Minnesota in his career, going 0-6 with a 6.00 ERA in 10 starts. After losing the way they did yesterday I think Texas will be a little drained. even thought they may have a chance to take a W here I don't think its going to be an easy one. Texas however, regardless if they want to or not can't really afford to lose another game, seeing as how they are tied with the Red Sox. So with that said they'll do the best they can to get ahead early on. If Minnesota can keep hitting like they did last game this one will go the Twins way. If Texas wins it'll be a low scoring one. Baker pitched at Texas on July 18, allowing one run and six hits while striking out eight over eight innings of a 4-1 win -- his first in four starts versus the Rangers.Rodriguez is batting .190 (4 for 21) in his career against Baker.
