a couple question on my bankroll
I started with 600 last tuesday and now i'm up to 1900. If you talked to more experienced handicappers they will tell you sports betting isn't a sprint.. Which i totally agree, now that i have a little money what should i risk on each bet.. I usually do a 100 or sometimes 200 but i made my 1900 on a few risky plays so i duno...

i would bet in %. perhaps 5% of your bankroll per game.

in my opinion 100 or 200 plays were too much. now 100 would be okay.

i've always been killed because i bet too much... especially when i had a run... it's only a warning

Good advice from Gnutti. Follow it.

The only thing I would add is that as your bankroll grows even higher, reduce the percentage slightly. If you get up to $10,000, 3% would still be a $300 bet. You can still grow the BR quite a bit with that kind of wager over the course of time. And reduce your losses a lot if you hit a cold streak.

The rule of thumb is that one unit equals 1% of your roll.

When you decide on your limit per wager, even when you're on an excellent run, don't be tempted to go huge!

If I have a $20 bankroll, should I be doing like $2 per bet?

What was your starting bankroll? How much were the units then/now? Do you flat bet or go the weighted option route? There's many ways a person can go depending on their style.

Yes Because if you have only a 20$ bankroll and bet 2$ per game it's gambling just for fun and not to win money

$20 is enough to get into the thousands in my opinion. I started 3 months ago with $100 and slowly built it up to $1,000. As soon as I got to 1k I started betting to win $500 but I took reasonable underdogs. I already have more than 10k.

                        You're talking!!!

Yesterday, a parlay of Mets FF +150 and Reds FF +195 will take $20 to about $160. I got those 2 yesterday as single wagers.

Congrats on your success! What I recommend is to follow one main strict guideline to protect your bankroll... Never bet more than 5% of your bankroll on any given play no matter how confident you are of it. Do not get sucked into BS such as "GAME OF THE YEAR" plays from handicappers. If you are able to properly handicap sports games than this strategy will guarantee you long run profitability.
