    Anyone like the angels tomorow?
Anyone have thoughts on baltimore v angels round 2?

Heres what I dug up real fast. Lackey is looking pretty strong his last couple of starts and the angels are hitting the ball well. Baltimore is trotting out another rookie type dude with only 2 starts under his belt. His numbers are as follows first start against detroit he went 5 innings giving up 1 run 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. Second start 2.2 innings against toronto 5 runs 3 homeruns 2 walks and 1 strikeout. Lackey owned the orioles earlier this season 8ip 2 er and a W. I like the angels even more on saturday with this matchup.

Fridays game seems to me to be a fluke, baltimore does this every once in a while they get the right pitcher up there and they unload on him, today it was pretty much the entire angels staff though.

The only thing that scares me about this game is that the line is already moving in baltimores favor but at covers bets are going the angels way 3 to 1. So I don't know on this one. But I'm on the angels and hopefully they find a way to pull it out.

One more diamond in the rough is that lackey has 6 straight quality starts and 2 of them were on the road. I might retap the angels if the line keeps going the other way.

Yeah, I like the Angels, too. They will bounce back strong against Matusz.

Not sure. I will probably make them a play. Really disappointed in them Friday. I would have had a really nice day had they showed up to play.

              From ESPN's preview:

Lackey is 7-3 with a 3.33 ERA in 11 starts against the Orioles. He held them to two runs and four hits while striking out seven in eight innings of his 5-2 home victory July 2. The right-hander appears to have turned a corner, going 4-1 with a 1.99 ERA over his last six outings. The lone defeat came Sunday, when he gave up four runs -- two earned -- in 6 2/3 innings of a 7-0 loss to Texas.

The Orioles will hand the ball to rookie Brian Matusz (1-1, 7.04) for the first home game of his career. The left-hander held Detroit to one run in five innings to win his major league debut last Tuesday before giving up five runs in 2 2/3 innings and suffering a 7-3 defeat at Toronto on Sunday.

Leaning with the Orioles, I think the offense will stay hot and they will carry Friday's impressive display of hitting over to Saturday.....

Well Lackey is taking care of business through 4, lets hope the angels tack on a few more.

Well the angels took care of business like they should have done in game 1. Lackey looked great, and other than a little bump in the 9th the bullpen took care of business tonight.
