My 2 cents on teams not playing.....

Personally I don't care if another professional team in any sport ever plays again.

If I could, I would ask everyone of these players sitting out, what if their house was on fire and all the firemen and women decided to not respond, not put out the fire and let their house burned down?

It's time for a complete reboot of professional sports, and only by not attending or watching, can the public bring this about.
